Ducks WIN!!!

With the lost of San Jose and the win tonight, the Ducks have won their first Pacific Division title in franchise history. They now have the number 2 seat in the West and will face Minnesota in the first round. I hope they can take it all the way and win it all this year.

On a side note the Anaheim Angels beat rivals Oakland A's. YEAH!!!

Tennis

I haven't played tennis in a while. The other day I was at the bank and ran into some of my old team mates from high school, they are twin brothers. It was kool talking with them again. So we having been chatting online, catching up with one another and he, my old tennis partner, mention that we should go play some tennis. So tonight after I got out of work we went to play. It felt good, I have forgotten how much fun tennis is, I miss playing it.

And now after a great night of tennis I am enjoying the new mint shake that Jack in the Box has, I'm not a big fan of mint but this is really good. What a way to end the day after burning calories playing tennis, I put it right back with this shake, but its totally worth it...haha.

To live 'n die in LA...

This was posted on Myspace, I found it pretty funny and many of these things are (sort of) true:

Your monthly house payments exceed your annual income.

You drive next to a Rolls Royce and don't notice.

You don't know anyone's phone number unless you check your cell phone.

You speak Spanish, but you're not Mexican.

You begin to "lie" to your friends about how close you are when you know that it'll take you at least an hour to get there (see below).

Getting anywhere from point A to point B, no matter what the distance, takes about "twenty minutes".

You make $300,000 a year and can't afford a home.

You drive to your neighborhood block party.

In the "winter", you can go to the beach and ski at Big Bear on the same day or mow your lawn in your shorts on New Years Day, and maybe sunburn.

You eat a different ethnic food for every meal.

If your destination is more than 5 minutes away on foot, you're definitely driving.

Calling your neighbors requires knowing their area code.

You know what In-'N-Out is and feel bad for all the other states because they don't have any.

You don't stop at a STOP sign, you do a California Roll.

You've partied in Tijuana at least 3 times and you don't remember at least 1 of them.

You go to a tanning salon before going to the beach.

You eat pineapple on pizza.

You think that Venice is a beach.

The waitress asks if you'd like "carbs" in your meal.

You classify new people you meet by their Area Code. An "818" would never date a "562" and anyone from "323" or "213" is ghetto/second class. Best area code: "949/714." Nobody likes anyone from the "909/951" because it stinks there.

You call 911 and they put you on hold.

The gym is packed at 3 pm...on a workday.

You know that if you drive two miles in any direction you will find a McDonald's, Subway or a Starbucks You know what "Sigalert", "PCH", and the "Five" mean.

You know the meaning behind the name of the 405 freeway.... because it takes 4 hours to get one way, and 5 hours to get back.

It's barely sprinkling rain and there's a report on every news station: "STORM WATCH".

The Terminator is your governor.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from LA!

Sushi

There’s nothing better than a sushi dinner and catching up with a few of my cousins. One of my cousins is on vacation, so she came home from San Francisco. We went to dinner tonight and catch up with everyone lives and tell her about all the drama that is going on with the family.

We went to my favorite sushi restaurant called Kabuki. It has a large variety of sushi, at a decent price and also caters to the non sushi eaters as well. Their teriyaki and tempura's are very good. So if anyone is ever in Southern California and likes sushi I recommend you try Kabuki’s.

Angels and Ducks

I'm excited baseball season is about to start, but today I was looking at the Angels roster in the Sunday paper and realize that I don’t know half the team. I knew they had traded my favorite player, Darin Erstad, but forgot that they traded MANY other players as well. Now I have to familiarize myself with this new team, its going to be strange when I go to the games because I won’t know who is who. They pretty much have a new infield and outfield and a few new pitchers as well, I don’t know what’s going on.

Also, my Anaheim Ducks are doing VERY well right now. They are tied for first place in the Western Conference and have a four point lead in the Pacific division with 3 games left to play. Hopefully they will be able to win out the rest of the season and get their first Pacific division title as well as take it all the way and win the Stanley Cup.

Cousins

Being any only child can get very lonely at times. But since I have become older my cousins and I are getting closer. I love my cousins, they are the closest thing I have to a brother and sister, they are brother and sister.

Tonite for example they called me up to see if I wanted to go to dinner. I think it is awesome that they think about me, lately we have been hanging out much more often, and I love it.
